This article explains in detail an observational study of a representative sample of Mexican companies engaged in software development, data collection has considerably enriched the research, because of the opinions (constructive criticisms) and features expected in the development and improvement of supporting tool for assessing the software development processes. It also specifies the objectives of the tool, the
different types of users, as well as, the aid it provides and the information used. In addition, it provides a clear and brief description of the Mexican Standards (NMX) necessary for the development of the tool and its proposed two-dimensional model. It is worth mentioning that these standards apply to industry Information Technology, specifically in the evaluation of software development processes.
Therefore, it is intended to familiarize companies in the area of standards and encourage their use for development and maintenance of software, allowing Mexican Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to know their strengths and use them as tools of competitiveness, transparency and trust to produce quality Mexican software [9] |
