Hearing impaired is a physical condition characterized by a decrease in the ability to listen and understand sounds and words. The hearing loss not only affects to older people over 65 years, but also to children under age of 15, according to the World Health Organization. This paper describes an application to help the hearing impaired people using android phones and speech-totext and text-to-speech components of App Inventor. Simply speaking into the
phone it will be instantly converted to text and will be visible and audible in the phone of the hard of hearing partner. |
