Resumen Hadoop is a technology for big data that at the beginning did not consider relevant user information privacy. Such information is often sensitive and should remain private. That way confidentiality in Hadoop has become important. The proposal in this work is the design of a confidentiality control to guarantee the privacy of information so that only authorized users can access to it. The information is encrypted both at rest and in transit which involves adding a Key Distribution Server (KDS) to Hadoop architecture, a management keys mechanism and a protocol design for communications between Hadoop components. The proposal is an adaptation of the protocol Horus where is described confidentiality of information in High Performance Computing Systems (HPC).
