In this work, an approach to semantically
search geospatial datasets by means of their
metadata is proposed. The method consists of
structuring a semantic repository,
incorporating prior knowledge driven on
ontologies of the following domains:
thematic, spatial and temporal that correspond
to the geospatial datasets. This approach is
focused on providing mechanisms for
distributed data to be retrieved, as well as the
extraction of those geographic objects with
respect to their conceptual similarity. |
