In this paper, we propose the use of a
knowledge-based system, which has been
implemented in SWI-Prolog to approach the
automatic description of geographic data, by
means of logic rules. The process to establish the
predicates is based on the topological and
geometrical analysis. These predicates are handled
by a set of rules, which are used to find the
relationships between geographic objects as well
as to aim the search and organization of the
features that compose the topographic maps. A
case study is defined by predicates, that are used to
infer new knowledge. |
