Whitin parameter estimation and system identification process for chaotic signal, the use of the Forgetting Factor (FF) an a complement added to different tecniques is of interes due to the characteristics is has according to its configurations. In this paper, tests to prove the effictiveness of an exponential FF (EFF), which uses the sign function to obtain its directional characteristic, is presented. Simulation show stage by stage how EFF modifies a simplified avarage estimation. Various cases are presented to finally conclude with a description of when proposed EFF perform better and if it is adaquate for signals of interest. |
