Resumen The proliferation of cars in urban areas presents challenges like traffic congestion, emissions, and declining quality of life. Leveraging smart cities and the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) addresses urban vehicle proliferation by emphasizing intelligent vehicle interconnection for transportation efficiency, safety, and sustainability. IoV enables personalized, real-time communication between humans and vehicles, fostering safer driving. We propose leveraging IoV to develop a conversational bot to notify drivers of disruptions and risks during their journey, prioritizing safety. This proposal outlines the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and IoV to develop a system that facilitates Human Interaction with Vehicles (HIV) and provides real-time road condition updates. The system, designed for audio messages and voice recognition interaction, aims to enhance driving safety and efficiency. Integrating smart vehicles and IoV reshapes urban mobility by optimizing transportation networks and enhancing the commuting experience by implementing geospatial processing, NLP, and smart mobility solutions to enable efficient route planning and traffic management strategies. As cities transition towards smarter transportation systems, the fusion of smart vehicles, IoV, and innovative mobility solutions promises to revolutionize urban mobility. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2026.
